EVENT MAP

One of America’s oldest, continually running environmental events, Earth Day Omaha will

celebrate its 35th consecutive year on Saturday, April 27th, 2024. This year’s event will build on a

long history of success as the region’s premier environmental event, reaching a local consumer

base most interested in the environment and sustainability. Hosted in the center of the city at

Elmwood Park, the event is free to the public and provides entertainment for all ages.

Earth Day Omaha is a longstanding spring tradition featuring over 100 green exhibitors, a

multitude of family-friendly activities, hands-on demonstrations, educational displays, food &

drink, and live music from top local bands.

Nominate a Friend of the Environment

Earth Day Omaha's Friend of the Environment is an increasingly prestigious award dating back to 2010. Nominees in five categories (Youth, Individual, Nonprofit, Business, and Lifetime Achievement) are submitted by the public for review by the GOC Board of Directors.

EVENT EMCEE: MARIA CORPUZ

Maria Corpuz has been exploring ways to utilize the power of collaborative conversation to improve her community. Her work spans across multiple platforms in efforts such as radio host, grassroots journalism, politics, and non-profit partnerships. Working to redefine an “influencer” as someone who influences change, she has found her passion as fostering a relationship between art, social movements and the Omaha community. Maria has helped community projects such as Farnam Festival, NOISE Omaha, the Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards and Start-Up Week Omaha. She owns a local promotional products shop, Bel Merch and Design that prioritizes design and sustainability.
